Welcome: 

The Lake Kampeska Water Project District is a local agency tasked with protecting the water resources of Lake Kampeska by implementing projects to improve water quality and flood protection.

Brad Johnson's Lake Kampeska Flooding Aritcle April 2023



LKWPD approves letters to Governor Noem, Senators Rounds, Thune and Representative Johnson to request that the US Army Corps of Engineers finish the flood control studies for Watertown and Lake Kampeska.



LKWPD approves funding for comprehensive lake improvement study.



LKWPD dontates to  support the  Annual  Big Sioux Water Festival.

Remembering the Flood:

In 1997 a catastrophic flood paralyzed the Watertown  community and left 5000 people homeless.  Let's not forget  the damage it did to the citie's businesses and the lives of so many families.  See the slide shows of the devastation.
